Soviet/Russian Championships
The Soviet National
League was founded in 1946 and Dynamo Moscow
skated to the title in 1946-47, the first
year of competition. Since then, Central Red
Army had dominated play, winning 32 titles,
including a string of 13 seasons in a row
which ended in 1990 when Moscow Dynamo captured
the Championship. Previously, the last club
other than Central Red Army to capture the
Soviet Championship was Spartak Moscow in
1976.
